The Gospel ABC's
God loves you very much. He is longing for a
relationship with you and has provided a way that you can get to know Him.
The Bible gives us some steps to follow in order to
receive Jesus as Savior. It's as simple as A, B, C.
Admit that you are a sinner - Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God.
Believe that God sent Jesus to take your punishment - John 1:12 Yet to all
who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God.
Confess that you have sinned and that Jesus is now #1 in your life -
Romans 10:9,10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is
Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

How To Be Saved
-
Confess your sin and
your need of Him. Come to the Lord as you are. (Psalms 51:17 --
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite
heart, O God, you will not despise.")
-
Hear the Spirit
calling you to Christ. (John 6:44- "No one can come to me unless
the Father who sent me draws him, ...")
-
Repent and turn away
from your old, sinful life. (Ezekiel 33:19 – "And if a wicked
man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he
will live by doing so.")
-
I is the focus point
of sin...let it go. (2 Corinthians 7:1- "Since we have these
promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that
contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for
God. "
-
Salvation is yours!
When one places his/her faith in Jesus as Savior, it's not what 'we
have done'; rather it's about what Christ has done in us and through
us! (Philippians 3:9 – "…not having a righteousness of my own…but
that which is through faith in Christ— the righteousness that comes
from God and is by faith.")
-
Trust the Lord to
forgive you of your sins. (1 John 1:9 – "If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify
us from all unrighteousness.")
What Happens In
Salvation?
-
Forgiveness: God
pardons us and sets us free from the penalty of our sinful acts
-
Justification: God
counts Christ's death on the cross as to our benefit, making it
"just-if-ide" had never sinned
-
Regeneration: God
gives us new life, we are "born again"
-
Adoption: God
welcomes us into his royal family, we are granted all the privileges
of being children of the King!
